Sample 1: Blog Post for Travelzoo, 2019
Description
After examining the company’s “stories” calendar, I volunteered to write a post about the best summer music festivals. It highlighted my personal experience with music, as well as upcoming festivals.

Sample 2: Website Deal Page for Hotel Granduca Houston, 2019
Description
When I was a producer at Travelzoo, once a deal was approved by a publisher, I would coordinate with the salesperson and our hotel operations team to bring the deal to life. This included continuous communication with the client regarding the impending launch and writing copy for the deal page, which had to be fact checked by the client once it was created.
Sample 3: Luxury Collection Email, 2020
Description
When approving deals as a publisher at Travelzoo, I looked for patterns. What overarching trends could I find that would create a robust collection? Once we had 12 or more hotel deals that fit such a pattern, we put together what’s known as a collection page and a corresponding email send. All deals that fit the designated tag lived on the collection page. We alerted our members about the collections via email, for which I composed the copy.
Sample 4: Hotel Newsflash Email, 2020
Description
While this has a producer’s name in the byline, I wrote the email copy, as our publishing team wrote all email copy.
In this process, the producer submitted deal research to me for review. I then performed my research and suggested ways the deal could be improved, including pricing changes or extras the client could provide to enhance the experience of a Travelzoo member who may book the offer. Once the negotiation concluded and the deal was approved for publication, I wrote the email copy, which was sent on a scheduled date to whichever target market(s) the client purchased.
